The strobilanthes kunthianus — the kurinji — native to the Nilgiris, blooms once in twelve years. Block printed across this stole in soft lavender and sage, it lives in cloth long after the hills have fallen quiet again. Toda embroidery runs along the borders — the geometric language of the Toda indigenous community, worked in navy by our Toda women artisans.
Crafted from custom-woven fine linen, the fabric is light, airy and fluid, draping beautifully against the body.
