The rhododendron arboreum, native to the Nilgiris, is block printed across the pallu in crimson and slate, in the workshops of Jaipur. The length of the saree carries block-printed lines, with Toda embroidery running along the length and edges — the geometric language of the Toda indigenous community, worked in black and red by our Toda women artisans.
Crafted from custom-woven fine linen, the fabric is light, airy and fluid, draping beautifully against the body. Sold without a blouse.
Each saree is a long labour of hand — made in limited numbers.
